Default Last min Westfork

Took my boat out and never hardly came off plane yesterday evening...

Launched at the free launch just outside of Sam Houston Park and fished the cut that runs to Parkside Marina. Went about halfway to bride throwing a walker...nothin-

then fished plastics (senko and craw) on the way back...got two. One I woulda thrown back...but, it swallowed my hook, so..death either way = small fried bass

Then we fished the bank on the main portion of westfork in the curve by the launch, opposite side. Deep bank...good cover...no bites.

anyone ever fish these two areas? I was worried bout storm brewin, wanted to stay close..always siad I'd try those two areas if i needed a last min location....

Next time try fihing around the westfork bridge. There is a big log jam and some slabs of concrete in about 12 feet of water.

The logs line the banks on the northwest side of bridge. The fish will school there and I have done well with jigs! Good luck!
