Default Beach 9/19

After a few days of North wind I thought the beach would be looking good, so I made the run south this morning. I got there and the waves were crashing... not a good sign. The water was still pretty dirty only about 6 inches of visibility. I threw a variety of baits for about two hours and only caught two fish, a redfish and a small trout. The wind and the waves were getting the better of me, so I decided to give up the ghost and go home. Think I'll hit the river this weekend!

I hear you. I was there too. Ended up with 2 reds, 2 specks and a whiting. Better than being in my office I guess.

It's amazing how everyone automatically thinks that the beach will ALWAYS be clean on any north winds. There are many factors in conditions. When a front passes, there is usually a lot of east in the wind. East winds beat up the coast.

nice to know that you're the only one who has it all figured out! yeah, i didn't check the buoy data and i paid for it. i figured i could save some folks some gas money and post my report. sorry it wasnt 30 dinks on the front deck of a $40,000 boat.

haven't seen you post a report in awhile.................

Maybe we should consult with him before we make another beach attempt. I would have never dreamed of all these scientific conditions.

It appears to me it is. Like Jedi said. We're simply passing on info.

And boat driver was passing info along as well. Just because it blows out of the north after the front it doesnt mean the beach will clear. Several different variables, etc. Man I sound like a parrot repeating something that was already said, oh it was useful info from boat driver. I guess he wasnt trying to help

But awesome info passed on by both parties and jedi at least you got to get a line wet. Better than sitting up at work.
