I have a buddy that works on a crab boat and he claims they've been seeing lots on there floats in VB. Anyone ever seen or heard of them in that area? I have been looking but maybe looking for the wrong things.

I've been looking, and I've never seen any in the bay. Outside is a different story during the heat of the summer. I'll be sure to look again this weekend though!

My brother spotted one on Friday afternoon out in the Bay, he didn't have any live bait, he tried plastic and dead shrimp, but it wouldn't hit it. If would have had a live shrimp, it would have been on.

Throw a pearl white gulp shrimp on a light jig head and keep it close to surface. He will eat it.

I'm pretty sure it's the extreme salainity we have this year but I'd sure like to catch a few... I've caught them offshore fishing trout, sure are some fine eating.

I was on a decent trout bite the other day at Dry Reef, and 5 of em came up and circled the platform I was fishing, they never came right through where I was catching, but they were close enough to shut the bite down. It was pretty to see, but aggravating that they showed up and shut down the bite!
