The sho is not as fast because they dont offer a 25" shaft in the yamaha..the HO is setup for a 25" motor...

I've seen a couple Haynies with the 250 SHO. Someone has one around Hebert's in the same color as yours and it looks bad a$$. You're going to have a sweet looking ride. I've heard that the Haynie 24 HO doesn't perform quite right with a 20 inch shaft. With the correct setback, I don't see why it wouldn't. If a few people have put the SHO on theirs, then it can't be all that bad. Sounds to me like it may be a gimmick to keep selling Mercury motors, but I'm just speculating. I absolutely love my SHO but the Pro XS is proven on that boat and runs like a bat out of hell. The 300 XS is scary fast on that rig and it sounds awesome too. Congrats! You're going to have a sweet trout coffin!
