Central air and Dust question?

I'm noticing a build up of dust on my ceiling fans. I change the filter every month. Could all this dust be coming from were ever air is getting in from outside, windows door etc. I will be changing out my windows soon hope that help. Is the unit pulling that much air in?

Do you have carpet or drapes in your house?

If you don't it could be the reason for the extra dust, I dont have a lick of carpet in my house I notice a good bit of dust, we always dusting.

I have carpet in 2 rooms the rest of the house is wood floor and tile yes I have drapes

If you have cellulose insulation blown in your attic it will cause that also, I fought it in my old house and that's why I am gonna use somethin different this time
