My son wanted to go fishing this morning since they were out of school and was asking since last night, I was telling him that it was going to be a little cold and windy which would make for some rough conditions. Needless to say he won and we went fishing this morning and I have just regain feeling in my fingers so I’m able to type this. To get out of the wind a little we made a trip to the salt ditch and found some hungry fish. We fished where the ICW and the mouth of the salt ditch meet. It was a steady bite but nothing out of this world. My son was using the 3.5 inch Wedgetail Minnow (Egret) in Limetreuse and I was throwing the 3.5 inch Wedgetail Minnow (Egret) in Chart/Silver, both were on a 1/16 oz jig head. It was a quick trip because the longer we were out the the more the wind was picking up. Why did I go knowing it was going to be windy and rough because this is my son that was having all the heart problems.
The water was stained and the water temp was running from 64 to 66 degrees. The dew point was 40 degrees and the atmospheric pressure was 30.29 inches. The relative humidity was 36%. The tide was outgoing and the wind was 13 to 15 out the north. |
