Default drivers permit
what does the dmv need get the drivers permit? like birth certificate and such. does the dmv need social security card are can we just tell them our number?

You need a few things. Birth certificate, proof that you took drivers education course. This goes for everyone now. I know because my wife just got hers at the age of 26 LOL. You will have to take a written test that isn't very hard.
