Are you sure they aren't flaring from your blind? Flooded? Dry? Both? Duck decoys? Mojos?

It is a wet field they have been in for two days. no duck decoys and no mojo! The blind I am in is very concealed. Hell I passed it up walking down the levee!!

I hunted with a guy one time and they were flaring and he said something isn't right. He went out and separated the decoys a little further than where he originally placed them, and BOOM, it was on. Just my .02

But at the end of the day they're wild animals and want something different everyday.

Should be placing most of your DEKES up wind of U.. IF the specks are coming.. Don't call... Let them come..
When they are going around hit them with a very low easy feed call. Only when they are going away.. When they answer back.. Answer them back. Get a little more animated and excited if they do.. Cluck them on in..Then SHOOT THEM.. Remember when they are close; call very lightly.. Hope this helps...IF you need someone to hunt with U.. Let me know.. I'm off right now.. We can figure it out... No 4 wheeler tracks close to the blind?
I would pull the decoys. They are shy of everything this time of year. |

Try setting up so their approach to the landing zone is left right, rather than directly at you. They are way smart, especially by now - do what everyone isn't, and that's settin up for a crossing approach. Triple check concealment too, if you got anything that resembles something they got peppered by before... they gone.
I hope they never find out how good of a gravy they make, then we are screwed for sure.... |
