Hairout Barneys Policy

So I just called Barneys here in Lake Charles to see if they have or could order me a certain 1911 and i was told they arent selling any guns unless its to law enforcment??? ***??? When I asked why she said its their policy right now and it may change in Feb.!!!!

Hmmm...I wonder if they are waiting to see what the politicians outlaw. Maybe they don't want to get stuck with guns they can't unload?

Can always not do business with a location that chooses to arm enforcement and not the citizens.

They could require full payment up front to guarantee the gun sale.

Sounds like they don't want to sell any guns to me, police officers are issued their service weapon, plenty of other places to spend your money, those dumba$$es.

Figure their liability carrier is thinking about excluding coverage due to the various suits anticipated with the Conn shooting. Law suits have a way of chilling commerce and you can't have commerce without insurance, IMO.

From what I remember, Barney's has always only sold to law enforcement. I don't think this is anything new.

But I'm sure there are plenty of people on here that remember differently.

Have you talked to Greg at the Outpost in Westlake? I know he doesnt have a huge selection but if he doesnt have it he should be able to get it. I have some friends who ordered some really random guns from him.
