hog hunt question

I know hunting them you have to use whatever weapon is permitted for that season. But what about after march when nothing is in season. What can you hunt them with? Can you hunt them on sabine island this time of year? Sorry for all the questions but just getting into the hunting thing

Im pretty sure you can hunt them day or night with any weapon from march through the end of august. Dont know about wmas though

on private land you can blast away . But if you are going to night hunt you need to let local sheriff know 24 hrs in advance. Must be land you own , lease or have written permission to be on.

On WMAs you can hunt them as long as there is a season open which will allow you to be in the woods but you have to carry the weapon appropriat for shooting that particular game meaning you can't carry a 30-30 and say you're huning squirrels.
You can however shoot pigs with 22lr, 22mag or 17 cal.
