Default Camp on Big Lake

This spring my crew and I are conducting the third year of a three year study on the food web in Calcasieu estuary. As before, we need to weigh and measure as many samples as possible of redfish, specks, black drum, and gafftops taken from the estuary. We'll be hitting the LC area sometime between 5/15 and 5/22 and staying for 2-4 weeks until we have enough data. We're looking for a camp or other suitable lodging in the area for 4-6 people. Funding is tighter this year than previous years, so while we're not on an absolute bare bones budget, we won't be living high on the hog either and can't be too spendy with the lodging. Ideal locations are reasonably close to Calcasieu Point because in the past this is where we've gotten the most data with an occasional trip to Hebert's and the jetty pier. Any suggestions?

When we arrive, we'll make a post letting you know where we'll be so y'all can come by and say Hi! and hopefully let the crew weigh and measure your fish. Also, feel free to PM me if you'd like a copy of the report from the last two years.
