I flew over the bay this afternoon. The water couldn't be more muddy, there wasn't anywhere with anything close to good looking water.

what are you trying to catch? Trout fishing will be tough in the bay with the river at 13.5 in Butte LaRose and rising. I would suggest either stopping in Sabine or Big lake or keep going to Cocodrie/Dularge area

Great advice. It's closer 2 ya, and the bite never stops per say like it does in the bay with the rivers high influence.

Marty Lacoste has been Hitting the trout pretty hard the past week. He might chime in or you could call him. He might point you in the right direction.

Flew over on Friday morning...mud line was out to 30 miles. Sitting up front on a 407 gives perfect view of everything.

Went offshore Sat around 2 and the bay is indeed dirty, but the water is fairly decent in Tiger Shoals and really cleans up good about the 20 mile mark.

better not waste your time or money until the river drops under 10ft, get a west or lite north wind and then some....

Had some friends go to the bay on tuesday and caught 5 keeper reds in the pass. They also caught 15 reds that were 15" each. They went back wednesday but the rain and fog kept them in shark bayou . They picked up two keeper reds and about 20 reds that were 14 to 15"

Those were caught on the bottom using dead shrimp. Water was muddy but moving. He said any where there was current they would catch fish.

Forget the fishin and just eat crawfish, the bay is drained with the north wind.
