Default Thanks "W" (Big Lake 7-5-13)

Made a trip to big lake with "Rockyspal" here on SC and his friend. Hit the rocks around holly beach. Went offshore to rigs, and W gave us a hot tip to hit the rocks again and it paid off. Ended up with 7 trout, 5 black drum and a sheepshead. I fished plastics (sand eels and vudu's). Something kept biting the tails off of both style baits. Water was green at sunrise, but turned to chocolate milk later in the day. Rig current was un real and the trolling motor couldnt keep us in line to fish so we had to kick the big motor in drive to hold us steady. Fished a grass line with nothing under it. Called it a day around 3:40pm.

I had a couple situations where i reeled the line in after a slight tap... and was like... ohhh no bait.... wait... no hook...

guess that's some of the fun involved in toothy critters looking for lunch!

I had a great time, Jordan! Thanks for all your help. I gased up when I got back and put 45 gallons back in the tank and I was full when I started. I usually average over 3 miles to the gallons, so figure something like 130 miles give or take. I told you about the only thing I can guarantee is a boat ride! Enjoyed your company!
