Default Need some tire/rim help please...

A buddy and I bought an old camper for use as a deer camp. The tires on the camper are the old style Dexstar 4 bolt pattern/15 in rims. 3 of our rims are rusted out and won't hold air. We put fix a flat and that didn't work. Does anyone in the Lafayette or Lake Charles areas have some of these rims with tires that we could borrow or rent to haul the camper from Lake Charles to Longville, about 30 miles. Once we get the camp to the deer lease we can put it in blocks till we can get new rims. Any help or advice would be appreciated.

I got 4 old rims....but different bolt pattern....sorry.

Maybe you can buy some tubes and put inside the tires.

If the hubs are very old, might be good idea to check the grease in the wheel bearings before pulling the tailer.

Also, if the tire rubber looks to be very dry-rotted......you might be better off replacing the tires. You might find some Use/junk tires for cheap.

We put some "new" used tires on them for now. I think we are going to try your idea that a buddy had also mentioned to use the tubes. We only need to go 30 miles. If we go slow the tubes should hold. We are going to also sand down the rust real good before putting the tubes and tires back on. The Huns spin pretty good but I'll try to grease them before the trip too. Hopefully this works!
