Another great week of fishing is behind us as we move on to mid August. A little bit of a slow down with only 14 boats running last week as the trout fishing is winding down. Yes you can still catch some trout if you put your time in on the water or simply fish at night at SS28 or 33. We found some scattered trout last week with 25-30 fish being an average day on the water. The redfish action has heated up as the duckponds are loaded with hungry reds. Spinner baits and spoons are doing the trick in the grass while live bait is working better in the deeper waterways. We caught 275 redfish last week and its just going to get better in the weeks to come. I would like to tank our customers who fished with us last week including Alton Smith & crew, Bob Earl & crew,Pat Hagen & crew, Ryan Courville & crew, Bryan Stevens, Lisa Whiteside,Arthur Blount & crew, Fred Perry & crew, Ryan Jacob & Fly, Buddy Westfield & crew, Kurt & Karl Budfeid,Jamie Newcomb and a big thanks to the Holiday Inn of Houma for their business! Looking forward to another great week of fishing the DU!! Good luck fishing.
