8-13-13 Reds, Trout, Bass

Brooks Blanche, Ron Levy, and Bobby Golden joined me today. Capt Rob Chauvin and I helped out Capt Anthony with this crew. Trout was on the menu, but the weather had other plans for us. We picked up a couple trout quickly but winds, and dirty water had us going to Plan B. It didn't take long for the guys to start filling the box with reds 'as everyone is catching them'!!! Matrix Shad Green Hornet, and gold spoons put the hurt on the reds in the shallow water ponds. We made a quick move and switched gears to catching bass. The bass can't resist the Matrix Shad either! Ron hooked up with a 5.5 pound bass that came jumping out the water, yelling 'get the net'!! Shortly after I was reeling in a 3 pounder. The guys could not believe you could catch bass while also catching reds!! Easy as it gets down on the DU. Fun times even though we could not catch the species we really wanted to target!! Thanks again guys for a great day and thanks Capt Anthony for putting the trip together.
Too windy for our night trip tonight, don't worry David, we will make it happen!!!!
