Default Gaff top love spooks

Seriously can't keep them off my bone spook. Never had that problem but I've caught at least two in my last 3-4 trips. Switch over to skitter and they don't mess with it... I think it's cursed.

You should have seen them go after a teal carcass.
They were busting them like trout or reds but I could see that they were hardheads and gafftops.

Yea you right... I have caught quite a few on tops this summer and they will crush it and come to think of it I can't remember catching them on anything but spooks.

At least you know for certain there is "fish scent" on the spook since catfish are olfactory (smell) predators. I know some old timers fishing for specks and reds who still dip their topwaters and plastics in a market shrimp container just to add the smell. :-)
