Default New mining sign that I found near my 40 acre lease

Found this sign at the border line of my lease and next property, I can see its a mining co. But not exactly sure what they got planned, anybody know anything about this or what they plan on doing?ImageUploadedByTapatalk1387162912.665781.jpg

Sasol bought some mitigation property off of Helms Rd south of LC for the same purpose. Nothing will be done with it.

Anytime a corporation decided to clear a area designated as wetlands they are required to purchase another area and designate it as a mitigation refuge funny thing is people are buying these areas that are wetlands just to sell to these corporations at triple price big money racket right now amazing even a few politicians getting in on this

And it will never go away as long as the EPA and Corps have anything to say about it.

Doesn't bother me, gives me work, and protects some wetlands. Good stuff.

Depending on the quality of those wetlands, may be some good habitat. The benefit of that is the companies can still make money off of these areas by leasing hunting rights. You just can't alter or destroy any of the wetland.

I thought you couldnt lease a mitigation area? Maybe I'm wrong though, it has happened once before

Well, maybe I'm wrong, but my understanding of mitigation sites is you cannot manipulate the area (cutting trees, altering the habitat by draining, ditching, etc.) But you can still hunt them. Maybe you can't lease it, but you can still hunt it.

You can hunt them from what I understand majority of the Grey estate was sold as mitigation property and know it is top dollar hunting camps.
