Question Signal Flares?

I have a 19 ft. boat and I do not have any of the signal flares in it. I fish the bays behind GI and Leeville. Do I need them in that area and if so, do they go bad? Where would be a good place to get them? Thanks.

I think you need them, it can't hurt to have them if not.

You can buy them at Wal Mart and they do go out of date but you can still shoot them after they expire.

Default flares

Thanks for the replies, Chris and Snorkler. From the drawing Chris supplied, its looks as though I would need them if I ventured out into Raccourci or into the gulf. Gonna check Walmart and Academy. Thanks.
