Default Props

I am new to owning a boat I have a 2013 1910 Nautic Star with Yamaha 115 4 stroke and have the stock 3 blade stainless prop. I'm not real happy with its get up out the water and would like to see a little more top end speed. What options should I look at.

You need to go to a prop shop and share with them your likes and dislikes about your present prop. You'll need to tell them things such as RPM's at WOT (wide open Throttle), speed you're getting at WOT, how many people in boat at the time, how many gallons of fuel in the boat, etc. So make sure you know these numbers before you talk to them so they can lead you in the right direction .

Default lose

you lose top end for hole shot, and vice versa, you will have to find a happy middle, you will not get the best hole shot if you want more top end, and also a four stroke motor does not have the hole shot like a two stroke motor,

ps I am no expert, but i did stay at a holiday in once, but that was a long long time ago

what prop are you currently running? I have a couple props that may help you out. I have a powertech 19 p and a Laser2 21p I ran them on my 20ft xpress with a 115 Yamaha 4 stroke.

115 on a 1910 your gonna be limited on options...I would honestly just work on holeshot...I doubt your gonna get much speed out of that motor/boat combo.

May I ask what the 19p top speed was on your 20ft xpress. I have a h20bay x press 115 4 stroke w/ a 17p wot is 38 mph at 6000 rpm; thanks in advance.

I just noticed this post. I hate to tell you but you won't get much if any better than that. He can roll the leading edge on the prop to give better holeshot but speed you are pretty much topped out. Trim tabs will also help with holeshot. http://www.yamahaoutboards.com/sites...-07-14_bay.pdf
