Default Boat appraisal

I've been thinking about putting my bay boat up for sale since I haven't had time to go fishing and it hasn't moved in nearly a year. I've already had one person express interest in buying it and has asked for what I want for it. I've looked on the NADA website, but that year model is not in their database (21' 1995 Bayquest) . I would like to get a price on it "as is" and then what I could get for it if I were to do a few things to it. All of it being cosmetic (recover seats, clean and attempt to restore gel coat). Is there a place I can bring it in the Lafayette area to get this info? I don't want to waste time and money on the boat if it won't increase the value.

I'd be careful with nada even if they show you a price. I looked up the last boat I sold on there, added a grand and put it in craigslist. Sold it in 12 minutes at full offer price, with 2 other offer within the hour. I would guess that mean it was underpriced a bit...

Did you add the price of the motor and trailer?

There is a lot of this type of talk going around. The link below is one of the better threads that I have read. Good luck
