Default Houston River Around The Park 4/28/14

Me and a buddy from worked decided to try after we got off. The fishing app on my phone said it was "Great" fishing. Saw lots of bait fish but no real bites. I had a tentacle clipped on a Blue-Gill Tiny brush hog.....that was it !!

We fished from Parkside to the back side of the park. We threw Crank-baits, 4" Lizards, Tiny Brush Hogs, Spinners, Swim Jigs, and Top water as it got dark with no luck. Does anybody have regular success in this part of the river ? It's frustrating having such pretty water so close but never being able to do well on it !! Please if anyone will share...
