Venice- empire?

Some buddies and I are dragging the bay boat down to venice for a week after mothers day. How are things around red pass? How about the south pass jetty and beach? Anyone been in freshwater bayou lately? This is my first time taking my own boat to venice. Any info would be greatly appricated. We plan to play with the fly rods mostly and just go easy and take it all in. We will be staying at delta marine in empire if anyone wants to come drink a beer with us and grill some deer, ducks, and hopefully a few fish!

If you are staying at Delta there is good fishing in the empire area from bay adams all the way out to the empire jetties,another plus for next week is the full moon will be on the 15th which has always brought me good luck on trout in that area,if the marine forecast is good i may be there myself,GOOD LUCK.
