Default The Shin Bone

I just read a pearl of wisdom on another fishy forum I frequent. I am sure you all can relate. It simply states: God gave us shin bones so we can find trailer hitches in the dark. I would also add or when you have your arms filled with shopping bags.

Very true cappy. Shin bones are sensitive places.
I remember well the day my shin and my tomahawk had an abrupt meeting. Not pleasant and lots of blood.lol

If the drinking bone is connected to the party bone, is the shin bone connected to the misery bone?

I don't think you can call yourself a true outdoorsman until you've busted your shin on a trailer hitch. It sucks, bad, but it is a right of passage of sorts. So after you are done crying like a little girl, stand tall! You can know call yourself a man!!

I have hit that dang thing more times than I care to remember... You would think after the first dozen times or so you would learn, but not me. I was also that guy who stepped off the boat along the river bank thinking it was shallow and finding out that it was about ten foot deep, OR the young teenager that thought a pellet gun would take care of a gator sitting on the bank.

My trouble is we take it off our SUV most of the time. So I am used to walking around with out it. It's when you get in late with boat or camper or both to unload and ya forget to take it off. Thats when it will get ya every time. The one on my jeep is perminent and I rarely ever hit it cause I am used to walking around it. It's the temporary ones that get ya,
