Cheers Good as it gets Reds 6-17-14

Bill and William Wolfe and Peyton Rucker were back today for their annual trip with me. Redfish was our target and man did these guys get a treat!! The bite today was simply "stupid". We hooked six fish in the first 100 yards but they did not stay on. The tide was slack and they weren't actually ready to eat. 150 yards into the drift we put the first fish in a ice bath inside the K2. The Power Pole was deployed and 12 more hit the ice while probably 12 others survived to see another day. We went a few minutes without a bite so I started drifting again. Our next fish we hooked had 5-10 more reds with it swimming. The water was crystal clear as it looked like we were in a aquarium. With 18 in the K2 we drifted into a little ditch then the real excitement began!!! Pods of 10-40 reds were swimming by the boat continuously. The power pole was deployed and we sat their in amazement watching all these fish swim by. We played catch and release till the guys had enough. It was a day I know I will not forget. Tiger Matrix on a gold spinner put a hurt on them!! Thanks again guys, we did it again!!
