Am courious about buying an aluminum bay boat. Have seen the Express hyper lift, G3 bay, and now the lowes 22 bay. Wonder if any thoughts from the forum?

I bought an excel 220 bay pro in August. Very happy with mine so far....I was looking at the h22b before I found the excel.
The excel was hands down a better built boat. And it was 2 grand cheaper!!! ImageUploadedByTapatalk1416870897.329694.jpg Last edited by davidpuddy; 11-24-2014 at 06:15 PM. |

I know this is about a month old but I will add my two cents. I went to the local Lowe dealer in North East Florida and was not happy with the service. I do own a Lowe 1752 Roughneck and I beat the hell out of it, alligator hunting to flounder gigging. Nothing wrong with the boat at all. I recently bought the xpress hyperlift 18 bayboat fully camo'd with a 115 and it is fine for me. I did a huge amount of research between the Lowe, G3, Excel and Xpress but the price I paid for my boat with only 30 hours on the package was the selling point for me.

Thanks for the reply! I was stuck on the H22B till I saw the Lowes 22 Bay at a boat show. I am from Lafayette but living in Al. and Mobile Bay is closer and I have been out in the bay with heavy chop (2 1/2' seas) in a 22' Sailfish and I feel the deep V hull would fair better than the mod V. Any comments?
