Eat Em! It is not a local thing, I grew up fishing lower Laguna Madre, clear water, trout had worms also. However, I don't point this fact out to the wife.

I've noticed it too (on the few i catch). I eat them and the only side effect is i post on SC too much and cant seem to find many fish

Yep, no prob. The fish all over the coast have those. fry or grill the fish are edible.
