Beach Fishing
Really want to take my boys on a fishing trip down south(I'm in S'port). Guided trips are a tad pricey and can't swing right now. Was looking for some info on places accessible to some decent beach fishing. Not looking to catch record fish just some good eating fish not to far from affordable lodging, never really beach/wade fished much but would appreciate any info! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

We fish Rutherford beach and do good there catching bull reds. It's about 12 miles east of cameron. There is a motel in cameron but I have never stayed there so I don't know how it is. Have fun and good luck

Either Grand Isle or Holly beach area is where I always go. Both have good surf fishing and also plenty of areas off the roads to bank fish. Find an area where the water drains out of marsh into larger bayou and fish it when the tide starts falling. Guaranteed to catch a few.
Be prepared for chiggers. Have never had any issues through several trips in past years but just got back from 3 days at holly beach yesterday and I'm ate up like crazy. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk |
