this is a look at the kind of country this is

As a christian I do feel for the people, but from another viewpoint, i'm not sure this disaster will change things for the better.

it's going to get really nasty/violent over there and already has as looting has begun as the bodies rot.

God help them.

It's a cultural thing. You never saw such rioting and looting when they had the big earthquake in China. Never saw anything like this when they had the Tsunami in Indonesia. But, where else did you see this type of conduct.......good old New Orleans....makes you wonder.

I definately feel for these people, having been through something like this with Rita and Ike. But, the thing that really ticks me off is that obama has vowed that we will help in the long term rebuilding of Haiti!!!! In case he hasn't realized it.....WE ARE BROKE!!!! How about rebuilding the towns and cities along the gulf coast that were affected from the hurricanes in the last few years...I don't remember Haiti sending us money or coming help to rebuild. So now we will owe even more money to the Chinese because we will be sending millions of dollars to Haiti that we don't have!!!

I am sick of hearing about Haiti. Don't we have our own problems in this country like a recession, and Obama's big push for healthcare? Enough is enough like longsidelandry said we are broke but we are giving our money away to help non americans instead of helping our own. I guess this shows where this presidents priortys lie. Not with america thats for sure.

I will say that our current President has not said or done anything that our previous President's have done. I remember George "W" vowing to do everything possible when the Tsunami hit.

When a disaster hits all Presidents make the same statement. It must be written down in their instruction book of what to say....

Speaking of BROKE.....What about the $$$$$ we have been since early 2000 in the Middle East.....I guess we forgot about $$$$ we give every second to KBR!!!!!!!!!! Hell Iraq has nicer schools built by the U.S./KBR then we have in Baton Rouge.

The problem with Haiti is the haitians. They moved into the cities from the countryside to take the hand outs.

I read where something like more than 50 percent of all women there are rape victims.

Look back to the Haiti revolution around 1800, it WASN'T pretty.
