Default Lookin for a lab

I'm lookin for a female.
Preferably a chocolate but I also like yellow.
If anyone has a litter coming up or knows a good breeder tell me bout em.
I had a black lab as a kid and he ate everything up , so my parents gave him away.
it's time for me to get another lab.

Females will slow down on chewing in around 3 to 5 years.
Males will slow down when they die.

Dogs chew from boredom . But i don't know anyone that can play with a lab puppy enough to keep it from being bored.

we make sure our dogs have PLENTY of bones, stuffed ducks, kongs, ect if you let em know is OK to chew certain things like toys and discipline them when they chew something they shouldn't the will understand labs are very smart dogs but you gotta break em of any bad habits when they are puppies for example one of mine barks his azz off every time anyone walks in front of the house so when we got a second dog we disciplined her when she was young for barking at people in front of the house. never use the crate/cage as a discipline that should be their "safety/ comfort" area. teaching your puppy to walk on a leash and not sniff / stop and piss on everything will also teach then YOU are the boss not them. the most important thing is to be consistent with your training / discipline don't give em mixed signals by you allow one thing and your wife allowing the opposite

Here are a few websites to help your search. All litters on these websites must provide medical history of the Stud and Female. Most litters will come with a guarantee on the pup(Hips, Eyes, CNM, EIC, ETC)

Here is a very well known Chocolate Labrador Kennel.

www.gatorpointkennels.com in Mississippi. They have an excellent breeding planned for Feb 2010. check their current litter page. Stud is Dakota's Cajun Roux, the same stud that produced Chopper on Bayou Labradors website and many other exellent chocolates. They are taking deposits on this litter right now.

Bill and Cleo Watson have been breeding Chocolate Labs for 30 years.

I have Labs in training for field Trials and Hunt Test, so I really enjoy keeping up with what's going on in the retriever world.

Dakota's Cajun Roux is Top Notch!!!

My dog stays outside in his kennel other than a week ago when he was hurt and luckily he doesn't chew anything. He would rather just follow me around the house and lay by me, however my wife says that he is spoiled to me. He whines in the morning when I sit him on the dog walk and throw decoys and park the boat. I got my chocolate lab from a guy named Tangiman on LAS out of Hammond area. Sire was Bayou Segnette's Rising Son "Sonny", my dog hunts good but a real laid back and slow dog but gets pretty much everything I send him on however I don't think he will ever be a hunt test dog or field trial.
