I was coming in to Calcasieu Point and saw a woman backing out the launch
ramp. I let her out and pulled into one of the slips, tied off and went to get the truck and trailer. When I got back, the husband was on the dock waiting for her to come get him and she was in a high speed reverse going West, down the LNG canal. She finally got it to stop and started going forward and when she got close to the dock, she turned and put in reverse real hard. She hot the end of the T section, backed away and tried to come into the slip next to me. She got sideways in the slip and hit my front port quarter, then she hit reverse real hard and swung the back end out of the slip and smacked my port stern corner and my motor. I tried as best I could to keep her off, but I was scared to break a bone, she was going too fast. She was then in hard reverse heading to the steel bulkhead. I screamed for her to put it in neutral and she screamed back that it was. But I could see the wheel wash coming out the front. She then threw it in hard forward, hit a piling and went out to safety in the middle of the canal. She tried again to come into the end of the T-dock and smacked it pretty hard, the husband ran to the end of the dock and tried to get in, but she reversed out. When she came in again, he was able to jump in, but it looked like she tore up the bimini top cause the boat went just under the boards on the end of the dock. The guy took control and took off. Didn't ask if my boat was o.k. or if I had any damage. They was gone. It had Texas numbers and the name was Rippled Water, or something like that. I guess I will be breaking out the buffer to try to get the marks and scratches out. I did have a camera, but in all the mess, I didn't think about it. Could have won some money on AFV. I think Fishmaster 911 saw some of the fiasco also. |
