Thumbs up Rig Hotel!

This would be awesome... make a rig into a convenient store would be killer enough.
oil-rig-hotel_1385331i.jpg

Morris Ar****ects have revealed plans to turn a disused oil rig in the Gulf of Mexico into a luxury, eco-friendly hotel with more than 300 individual rooms on the deck and mount wind turbines onboard to provide power. Guests to the rig resort will be able to kick back at the hotel's on-deck beach or indulge in a vast array of watersports including sailing, parasailing, windsurfing, jetskiing, waterskiing, fishing or diving

We build 120 to 150 living quarters that survive many hurricanes...... I don't think this is impossible. If anyone has worked on The Tahiti that was pretty nice living quarters and you could very take the topsides off a jacket and install a large living quarters on it.

That's what I was thinking. I have always thought about having a deep sea fishing platform for people that get seasick easily. I know a lot of guys who refuse to go charter fishing because they had that one "bad experience" offshore. Out of about 50 offshore charters ,I have only gotten sick a couple of times but it makes you wish you were dead....

I had a buddy on an offshore trip that got sick so we tried to take care of him ie; cold rags on his head, keeping him hydrated etc. etc. When he finally got to feeling a little better, we got him to come out of the cabin to the deck. Then the poor bas laid there in the sun and got a 2'nd degree sunburn. He's never been back offshore....

This is funny......we always would joke if we ever won the powerball that we'd buy a rig, build a camp, install a hanging slip for a 60' sportfisher and fly our helicopter back and forth!
