Dance Salt Water Barrier 09_23_2010

09/23/2010 at the Salt Water Barrier on the fresh water side.

Small schools of fish were popping up all afternoon. 1 to 4lbs.

Yea, I heard they were up by English Bayou a few weeks back but I wasn't able to go at that time.

Gerald, you live in the Bluff or in LC? Have you been fishing the reds on the river or doing some bass fishing?

In the Bluff. Mostly fish saltwater.....but anything that pulls is fun. Except catfish.

My neighbor is a freshwater fisherman. Went with him after he had caught limits...plus of Reds South of 171 two days in a row.

We only caught a few reds that day.

He has been catch fairly good on Bass, but only a few over a pound.

A friend of mine was on the river this morning and caught about 40 bass. But like you said, no size to them. I'll stick to my salt water for now.

Are you off during the week? Maybe we can make a trip to the barrier. I'm off for 2 more weeks, but on the weekends there are just way to many boats in that area.
