Searched the web and can't really find much on the topic. Figured Some of you trout masters might. Do you use one more than the other? Or paddles for reds eels for trout? Use one based on conditions? Thanks in advanced.

I prefer paddle or curl tails when its warmer and the fish are more active ,and the eel type when i fish slower during the colder months.

I like a curly tail for the action , in the cold months nothing beat a curly tail grub very slowly moved and just let the current move the tail ..

100% eels last time I used a paddle tail was back in 1980''s when I fished with cocahoes with my old man
Until I stop catching with straight tail baits....don't see change Ex.p . Sand eels, sparkle beetles, grubs, tidle surge split tail etc.

Depends. Some days Ill throw a sandeel with no bites and put on a hackberry hustler and get bit or a swimbait and get bit, some days Ill get no bites on a paddle tail and get bit on a eel bait. Just depends I guess. If I am not getting bit I will change baits often to see what they want.
