V Bay and Marsh Island 2-24-13

The winds, rain, and moon did not help the trip. The bay water is fresh and muddy. I ran to MI and found clean water in Michelle and a few other bayous. But, the fish did not want to bite. Caught only a big drum and a small catfish in the few hours we spent fishing Sunday morning. Tried lots of baits, patterns, and even bait shrimp.

Boat ran great in the chop, so not a bad day on the water. Did not even have to dirty a filet knife.
