Squirrel hunting

What's up fellas. I'd like to get back in the swing of things and start hunting again. I'd like to take my boys squirrel hunting this year.
what are some places I can take them on a hunt?
I live in lafayette.

I'd say the closest place for you would be Sherburne WMA.

i love Westbay but that's a hike, Sherburne is also a very nice area, we do really well most years at Red River, and i hear Dewey Wills is hit/miss

if you want more specific information, let me know, i killed 93 on 13 hunts last year...

Thistlewaite WMA north of Opelousas down LA 10.

Small game area in Thistlewaite (across from the plant). Put them boys in snake boots though!

Worked in Thistlewaite for several years. Tried to hunt squirrels there. Thick palmettos make it almost impossible to hunt.

Bring the boys to Sherburne. Not a bad drive and clear enough to keep an eye on the boys as they hunt.

Indian Bayou USACE is also a very nice place... little closer than Sherburne.
