Default 11-11 Veterans Day Trout
3 stops in the Oak River area is all it took to limit out on trout.All caught using matrix shad lemonhead.Well I didn't forget that its veterans that fight and keep us free to enjoy days like I had today.Tell any veteran u see thanks for their service!!

Sweet! Oak River in Pointe a la Hache area?

I miss that place, We hunted and fished that every weekend of duck season for almost 15 years. Was a true Sportsman's Paradise before Katrina. My duck blind was 150yds south of Oak River, we would duck hunt and then paddle the pirogue back to the big boat and fish while waiting for the others to finish hunting. Nothing like a couple limits of ducks and trout before lunch!

May have to make a trip out there Thanksgiving weekend!

Yes sir,I will be there the day after Thanksgiving,it;s still a paradise even after the hurricanes.
