Just got word they drawing down the pool to burn it anyone else hearing this?

That will only prolong the drawdown. If its drought conditions they will draw down burn and allow to refill faster. If it rains all the time it will just stay empty the whole summer waiting for the vegetation to dry out. Rain or no rain the dams let all the water out. Well as low as the bell city ditch. |

I think its all stupid, wildlife and fisheries complain about the grass but every time the water gets to a good level they take some off, deeper water = less vegetation, im going to be very angry if my main fishing spot isn't fishable this year

Its a wildlife refuge not a fish refuge. They do burns to get the good grass to grow for waterfowl. its not ldwf that manages its the usfws.

I understand that, I am an avid waterfowl hunter/guide and am fully for having a good safe refuge for the birds, but that could be the best fishery in the state if they would quit messing it up, thousands of birds are going to winter in that place no matter what they do to it, its just a safe place for them
