another day in the gulf
did an overnighter saturday and sunday in the wake of TS Don.
got to brutus and didnt mark anything so headed south to front runner. there were two tankers refueling so we stopped and pulled some baby skip baits (dolphin catchers) and hooked up with 2 nice mahi, one 14-16 pounds, one 29 pounds. next stop front runner, we picked up a yft or 2 and a bunch of blackfin. stayed the night there and picked up a yft right at daylight. we discovered we had engine problems with our starboard engine, not getting power because of fuel problems. we couldnt get the RPMS up over 2900. and it was sucking twice the fuel at half the throttle. so we started limping back, barely on plane. decided to chek out genisis and it was a good stop. put 2 live bait down and in 2 minutes we were hooked up with 2 nice yft. put down another live bait and another yft on. after getting that one in, we put down another, and it was another yft. on our next drift we started only catching bonita so headed south at a wopping thirty Mph. overall a good trip glad to find blue water again. also learned to never fall asleep while trolling aboard the finaddict |

Nice job!
I don't think I've ever sleep soundly enough in a center console to fall victim to a trick like that! Funny stuff.

I have gotten to go offshore with the yakster when I can afford it. His new habit is out of my price range. If you want to know how he can afford refer to my previous statement...
