Default Vermillion bay

Any reports?

After fishing Henderson Saturday (water high and dirty) without a bite, went to Lake Martin Sunday and caught 2 decent size bass. Wondering if I should try bass again or salt water.

Thanks in advance

John.. I've got 80 or so bush lines out in Freshwater By U... Hell. U doing better than us...

Yesterday, We had 3 CF.... One 18# 2 about 6-8#... Several cut lines.. I guess some Peps R running, and cutting our lines when they see a
pole and line moving....

I don't agree - well maybe for specks but you don't need to drive to get into some redfish. IMO, February is one of the best times to fish for reds on Vbay.
I sure would like to see pictures of some Vbay February reds!

February is always tough fishing. If you are going to try saltwater, you need to head either east or west. Vermilion Bay won't be any good till around May. Try Rollover, Joseph harbor, pointe aux chene. These are the closest areas you are going to find any type of decent saltwater action. Then its still hit or miss. Come March salt water will get better. Can't help you with freshwater, I've never fished it much
