Reds Are Running Wild!
More great redfish action on the DU! It was Day 2 with Tim and my crew from Tn. A very wet start as thunderstorms were all around us. The crew was eager to get going after a terrific BBQ supper and a good nights rest at the “Lakehouse”. We arrived later than usual and found the tide nearly at a standstill. Not a bite at out first stop and we found the same thing at our second stop. We arrived at our third stop and the bite was on fire……but only for about 30 minutes. The reds were coming out the water bright orange! The tide switched and it was over but not before tagging another 15 reds and a lone puppy drum as it was catch & release only with the guys catching enough fish the first day. We looked around for signs of trout later in the morning but had no luck. We missed the bite as a friend of mine limited out on trout while we were chasing the reds. We arrived back at the dock around 11.30 as the crew had to get on the road. A great 2 days of fishing with good friends, food & spirits and lots of laughs with this crew! I look forward to their return as usual. Good luck fishing.
