I have seen Dry ice used in a punch bowl. I think I remember it "bubbling" and giving off some "fog" like gas.

We never messed with bottle bombs, we went straight to pipe bombs. All you need is black powder, canon fuse, paper towels pipe, and end caps. Oh, and a drill and pvc cement. Much safer and stable than bottle bombs.

We made dry ice bombs as "science experiments" at a friend of mine's kid's birthday party...one made with a 3 liter bottle had all the neighbors coming outside to see what was going on (yeah we are responsible adults).
Another one of my friends did basically the same thing with the heat packs from our leftover Rita MREs. BIG BOOM! |

Them dry ice/ aluminum acid bombs are highly illegal. Had 2 friends get arrested by the ATF over em. They threw one in a friends yard

Back in the day, when the former Lafourche Parish Sheriff tried to kill his replacement as Sheriff with a pipe bomb, my brother freaked out. He had just bought 50lbs of black powder and he had 20' of cannon fuse and about 15 pre-cut 2-4" pvc bomb blanks cut out. He drove to Hattiesburg to store the black powder at a friend's house and went and dumped all his pvc blanks in the Intracoastal. He just knew detectives would be combing the gun shops wanting to know who had bought black powder. |

Had a friend that worked at a bottled gas company. It started with tanks of helium, and escalated to oxy-acetalyne.................................Some folks in Houma still talk about the flaming sky from 1985....................... |

A buddy of mine was showing some people how to make the ox/acet bag bombs and static electricity from his hand ignited it. Blew the overhead doors clean out of his shop. The only thing that saved him was that the bags were under a steel welding table which sent the percussion out to the sides. That dude has never been 'right' since then...

A buddy and I were arrested in high school for blowing up a mailbox. Only time I ever been arrested! Used a quarter stick of dynamite gotten from a friends' friend, I didnt believe it. Looked like an M-180 firecracker. Had no idea it was gonna be bad. Just thought it was gonna blow door open. Lit it closed the door and the mailbox blew about 30 feet up in the air and hit the ground inside out. My buddies heard it almost a mile away. People ran outside and noticed my big ole ford 4x4 and called the poe poe's. They brought the bomb squad and all kinds of stuff. A car patrolling my neighborhood saw my truck and came pick me up! 60 hrs of community service!
