.southeast winds will increase today and continue through wednesday as pressure gradients tighten between high pressure over georgia and a tropical wave moving from the northwestern caribbean into the southern gulf.

The national weather service in new orleans has issued a small craft advisory...which is in effect from 7 am this morning to 7 pm cdt wednesday. Winds will increase to 15 to 25 knots today and continue through at least early wednesday. Seas will increase to 6 to 9 feet overnight tonight and continue through much of wednesday before conditions ease. Precautionary/preparedness actions... A small craft advisory means that wind speeds of 20 to 33 knots are expected to produce hazardous wave conditions to small craft. Inexperienced mariners... Especially those operating smaller vessels should avoid navigating in these conditions. |

Yea, it's still raining here in Lafayette. I can't stand driving in the rain on my way to work in the mornings. An 18 wheeler took out the light pole by the McDonald's in Broussard.
