This was one of our galley hands till this day:
Slidell Police first encountered Trent A. Celestine, age 39 of Pearl River on Saturday, December 18th after the front desk clerk at LaQuinta called and advised that he had hit a member of the room cleaning crew with a television remote. While enroute to that location another 911 call came in from the AT&T Phone Store in the shopping center next to the LaQuinta. The store employee called after a man fitting Celestine’s description opened the front door and request that she call 911 because someone was trying to kill him. The store clerk also advised that Celestine was armed with a handgun and advised her that he had not yet used it. Off duty Assistant Chief Kevin Foltz was on Gause Blvd and heard the broadcast of officers trying to locate Celestine. Assistant Chief Foltz was in the area and located Celestine crossing Gause Blvd heading towards Outback Steak House. With the assistance of Lt. Ray Dupuy, Celestine was taken into custody and a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol was recovered from Celestine’s coat pocket. Celestine appeared to be under the influence of some type of narcotic and he was very paranoid and delirious. After talking with Celestine he admitted to taking “Cloud 9”, an over the counter drug not yet banned. At this time Celestine was booked with Simple Battery, Disturbing the peace and Illegal Carrying of a Weapon. On December 19th at 10:20 am Corrections Officers were attempting to get Celestine to sign the necessary paper work for his release when Celestine became violent, breaking a computer monitor. After refusing to cooperate and making threating advances toward both Corrections Officers and Patrol Officers Celestine was tased and taken back into custody and booked with Criminal Damage to Property. On December 20th, at 8:15 am Corrections Officers were attempting to have Celestine sign his release paperwork. After refusing to sign the release papers Celestine ran out the station and was chased by Sgt. Kevin Simon and apprehended on Sixth Street by Lt. Timothy Flynn. Celestine was then transported back to the police station and booked with Simple Escape due to not being officially released from jail and Resisting an Officer. Celestine is currently being held in the Slidell City Jail. Arrested Subject: Trent A. Celestine, age 39 of 38346 Quin Road, Pearl River, LA Was arrested and charged with Simple Battery, Criminal Damage to Property, Illegal Carrying of a Weapon, Disturbing the Peace, Simple Escape and two counts of Resisting an Officer |

heard the same a friend smokes potpouri and says its effects only last 30 minutes, the cloud 9 last 5 or 6 times longer. Bad part is all this crap that is "legal" no one knows what the long term side affects are.

they making a heck of a lotta $$$$ selling this stuff for as much as $10-$30 a for a few mg. this is a multimillion dollar industry that is "legal" to them they are doing nothing wrong they are providing drug users a substance that will get them high at a reasonable price and it won't get them in jail (unless they do something stupid while on it). I think the people who do this are the people who would do the real stuff if the opportunity presented itself, they just wanna get high! Walker Police are trying to get cloud 9 banned Illegal to sell in walker, but the people who sell it are just gonna get the same thing in a different package with a different name, the same thing with the state and potpouri they banned it with certain chemicals, the drug makers remade the chemicals used, changed the names, and complied with new laws to sell a "legal" substance. |

It costs $40 for 2/100 of an ounce. Yes two one hundreths of an ounce.
Sold in conv. stores and truck stops. They keep it under the counter cause it gets stolen so much. Sold as a bath salt, also called White Dove. Buzz lasts anywhere from 3 days to a week. He just got married and moved to Fla. This is the first I heard of this stuff. It is loaded with caffine and ephidrine. He was a pretty cool guy. No issues. One of the few catering contractors who does his job and was proud of it. We were all shocked. Last edited by Ray; 12-28-2010 at 06:35 PM. |

***? Why in the world would anyone wanna smoke some BS retard drug that some retard drop out chemist schemes up ........only to make a dollar and not give a flying FK about a persons well being who might buy this ****! I think the makers should be jailed and used as rats to see what the long term effects of this junk is. And i think our lawmakers should be more thorough in covering the legality of synthetic drugs.

Well the package says not for human consumption. You gotta be an IDIOT to consume that crap. I'm a sheriff's deputy and have dealt w/2 IDIOTS that consumed that crap. They go really crazy and get very paranoid about someone being after them. Both subjects acted the same way and had to be admitted to hospital.

Thank you for posting this story....
I had a relative over the holidays talking about this "cloud 9" and it sounded very shady. I actually called him yesterday and told him your story and maybe saved his life. Thanks for the updates on this crazy Crap. Its amazing what some folks will do just to make a buck at others expence. As for the synthetic Pot that stuff is bad too....have buddies that have smoked it and they said it had some negative effects on their mental state for weeks....if you have any throw that crap away its so not worth it....we dont know anything about the side effects and it could land you in the hospital or worse. Thanks, TB |
