It was a rather cold, wet, miserable morning in sweetlake, but we had to be there on the last day. Should of had a limit but my pops got nervous and jumped early on the first bunch when they were for sure making another pass with landin gear down. Would of had four then but nothing. Later around 9:00 a second bunch of 3 came buy locked up landing gear down and we dropped all 3. Didnt see anything after that. Thats all we saw was those two bunches but they all wanted in. I was gonna rag but there arent any snows around so gonna let them live till next season.

Man this morning would've been good clear, cold and frost on the ground. Them specklebellies go crazy in that kind of weather.

I know the feeling. Had a group of 25-30 mallards come in on us last weekend of east zone in a timber hole. I should have let them make another pass they would have tried landing but thought they were gonna flair. Only dropped 2. Should have dropped 6-7. Like Raymond said, S&^% happens. Now time for trout and turkeys.
