Only in Louisiana you can catch trout, reds, bass and sac-a-lait in a single trip. Saltwater fishing has been fair while the freshwater fishing is off the charts! Fiday & Saturday the trout fishing was slow with the redfish taking up the slack. Bucky Monteiro with Caillou Island Towing joined me again on Friday & Saturday with reds being the main target. His guest from Houston was Max Tibilitti and he brought some nice fillets back with him. We caught a nice mess but the trout didn't cooperate. The guys enjoyed their stay at the camp as we indulged in some great tasting boiled shrimp & crabs. Capts Gerald Ellender and Ricky Brondum fished with Clay Allen & crew along with Grant Holcomb and his crew. Both groups wanted to catch large line stripping brutes and they got their wish as the bull reds & drum were plentiful. On Sunday Pat Olivier and I jumped all over the sac-a-lait with a few nice bass mixed in. All 4 species of fish were caught today as I moved to 4 different locations to find fish. The wind was screaming but the fish were there to be caught. Good luck fishing.
