Idea.....start her a mother's charm type bracelet with the child/children birth stone or initial. The charm bracelet is made to expand with more children as your family grows.

wives dont want household stuff from my opinion... Household items = more work! What are her fav things to do? I try to keep it simple. Maybe cook for her or do the things she normally does around the house. Give her compliments. Always remind her of how great of a job she is doing. Show some affection. Be thoughtful. Thats what works for me.

Gift certificate for a full body massage is always a good one, and the bracelet idea above is good too

She's a new Mom...anything to take some pressure off of her would be greatly appreciated.

I'm in the same boat man, this is my wife's 1st Mother's Day also. She's going eat lunch with her mom, nanny and grandma like they've done every year so I think I'll clean the house and get a nice meal going while they're out.

my mom is out of the picture. I refer to my grandmother as my "mom". I was at Nichols the other day and bought my grandmother a nice tin chicken "wreath". Its painted different colors and she bout cried when i gave it to her the other day.

$20.00

Check out the Chamilia and Pandora charms and bracelets. They have charms for any occasion not just mothers day. Its an easy go to gift that most women seem to like.

Several years ago from one mothers day to the next, I had a little book and everyday I would write down what I felt about her that day, good or bad.

I gave that to her one year later for Mother's Day and you would have thought she had a piece of gold. But like I said this was several years ago, back when we were in love.... I will make 20 years of marriage next April.

Give her a $100 and keep the kid while she goes out and does whatever she wants to do for a few hours. Two birds with one stone...Gets her away from the kid for a while and she'll likely go shopping(Most women's favorite passtime!).
