That's a good start! If I remember right, that's bigger than what won it last year.

What areas qualify for this??? I mean is there any boundaries or could something like this be caught on lets say Toledo?

It is very possible that the winning fish at the Shootout could win the Star also.

It happened before. Back when the first prize for the shootout was an 18 foot bay boat and 90hp. The weigh in was at burton coliseum. Old boy caught a 9 or 10 lber on a ghost. Started out fishing in Sabine lake. Trailered the boat and went and launched at da ferry and caught the fish in big lake. Won two boats with one fish. 18 footer and 21 footer. I believe he had a deal wit his buddy to split winnings but rumor has it that the deal fell through.

If i caught a bass around 7lb my butt would pick up and haul arse back to weigh it in. Dump all the beer outta the ice chest and fill it up with water. atleast this would keep the fish for a while.
