I had a blast at the Elite event in Little Rock , AR. It was awesome getting to see all the pros and to get a behing the scenes look at how the tournaments are run. The first day I was paired with Travis Manson. He used to be a Walleye pro up north and is a rookie on the Elites. He didn't weigh any fish on day one but caught 25 or so. They had to be 15 inches and he caught a ton of 14 inchers. I learned alot from him about spinning reel fishing and I will be buying a good one soon. On day two i got Britt Myers. He was awesome. We ran 50+ miles to Pine Bluff and fished next to KVD and Todd Faircloth all day. Those two guys are machines! Faircloth got on the strippers and I bet he caught 100+. The locks were really cool as Britt and Gerald Swindle are roommates and we chilled next to him and Dean Rojas most of the time while waiting in the locks. Britt caught some fish each day but lost two 3-4 pounders that would have made the differeence for him. He has a bad arse turck and boat! He runs a Bass Cat with a 250 pro XS. 78.2 mph on the GPS loaded down. We outran everyone! You can see me and Britt in the roostertail of Tery Butcher in the pic below. We cut inside of him going around the bend to beat him to a spot. Those guys don't hold back at all! That was my fist time in a Bass Cat and I was very impressed. Took rough water great and was very fast. I also made friends with Scott Ashmore at my hotel. We had rooms next to each other and he is a super nice guy. I rode to and from the lauch each day with him. He runs the only Sterling boat on tour and said he is the fastest out there. 84+ loaded is rediculous! All and all I had a blast and I can't wait to do it again!

That's awesome man. I'm an avid bass fisherman myself, I was wondering how did you get to fish with these guys?

You don't fish with them unfortunatly, you are a marshall, and you apply thru the Marshall program. You ride around with the pros making sure they don't cheat, etc.
