Ok guys, I have a 2007 z71 4x4 with 18" factory rims. I have a 2" leveling kit on it and I'm wanting to put some good all terrains on it. I really like the interco m16's in a 285. I'd really like to go with 295's or 305's but not sure if they will fit without rubbing. Just looking for some opinions on what you guys are running and how yall like em. Pictures would be cool too if it's not too much trouble.
Thanks in advance.... |

You have the classic body style or new new body style?
Classic body style with leveling kit you can run 305s all day with minimum rubbing but new new body style you can forget that might be able to tuck 295s but I would stick with 285s the fender wells suck on these new trucks. I have a pic of my dads duramax with leveling kit and 285s I'll try to dig up, I had to do some trimming and beating on his to make it not rub bad |

I like the look of the toyo.....but I can't get away from anything BF Goodrich......ya just can't beat a quality tire like that.......guess it depends on if You want looks or quality. Also, how much are you in the mud? I wouldn't 4uin mileage and ride for looks

Nitto Duragrapler or Trail Grappler are nice tires I have the Duragraplers on my dads he does alot of highway driving but yet they perform just fine at the duck and deer camp and you save mileage rather than having that aggressive chunk of tire that lasts 20k miles lol

I have Mastercraft Courser A/Ts and I love them. My buddy has a 9 inch lift and 37 mud grapplers on his truck, and I was dispatched to pull him out of a 2 foot deep "hole". Pulled him right out with old Coorsy and her new shoes. They make a little noise, but I'm running stock 265/75/16. I could fit 285/75s easy though. And my stuff ain't lifted.

I've never put it the mud at all. It's the new body style. I bought it brand new in may of 07 and only have 27,000 miles on it. I hardly ever drive it so I'm not too worried about gas mileage, just want them more for looks than anything. Thinking I might go with the 285 m16's

Even with 285s and leveling kit, you are still going to have to trim some plastic to keep them from rubbing. I have an 08 HD Z71 w/ leveling kit. Can't fit anything bigger than 285 without a few inches of lift. Started out with BFG MT KM2s. Just a week ago I had one blow out on me on my way back from Big Lake. (40k miles on em) Lucky to come out of that one alive. Caused $3k worth of damage to my truck. On my way to tire shop my front right tire started peeling. Needless to say, I filed a claim against Michelin (makers of BFG) for defective tires. I just went with 285/70r/17 Firestone Destinations and love em. They look awesome and dont hum bad. I looked at the Fierce tires made by Dunlop, but they have a redneck looking barb wire running around the outside wall of tire. Not for me.

I have a 07 Silverado Classic Z71 with some 33x12.50 Mickey Thompson Baja ATZ Plus and absolutely love the tires. I have a little over 50,000 miles on them and won't need to replace them anytime soon. They don't make any extra noise whatsoever and preform well in the mud. I've only had to put my truck in 4x4 3 times with these tires and never had to really get on the gas to get out. Got them installed for $1200 (I think) at Windmill in New Iberia.

m16's look good but after you put some miles on them they get very loud. I would go with mickey thompsons,bf goods, toyo.

Yeah those are nice too my podna has some on his f150. I would stick with a all terrain tire for sure if you don't plan on going in some serious mud.
